          Key Candidate Profile:
          - Strong I/T Team Leadership Experience: Past experience managing 10 to 20 staff members
          - Comfortable with a variety of platforms and technologies, Development and Operations
          - Experience functioning as a liaison between Product Development and Operations

          Position Summary:
          The DevOps Team is responsible for application deployment and tier-3 support for our enterprise-level SaaS applications.

          As the leader of DevOps, you will champion communication, collaboration and integration between software developers, information technology professionals, and the business, functioning as the operational interface between all departments. The team is not only responsible facilitating pre-production, release management and deployment, but also troubleshooting and break-fix support for production services.


          • Work closely with Software Engineering and IT Global Infrastructure to maintain continuous availability of mission critical systems. Support environmental needs for Software Engineering, QA, Product Management, Support, and others.

          • Interface directly with Enterprise Architecture and Software Engineering leadership to architect the most efficient and effective environments.

          • Oversee Windows and Linux Application Engineers, Application Analysts, Release Engineers, and Developers.

          • Working with senior management, helps set Infrastructure Automation & Application Lifecycle Management strategies that result in the continuous delivery of high quality application environments.

          • Own and maintain the application monitoring framework; develop methods and procedures to acquire and report platform usage metrics.

          • Maintain 99.9% uptime in a 24x7/365 environment

          Experience, Skills, Academic:

          Qualifications:


          • Strong I/T Team Leadership experience managing various technical staff of 10 to 20 employees.

          • Exposure to automation systems, including infrastructure provisioning, software deployment, release management, disparate development environments, SDLC management, and product development life cycles.

          • Tools such as: Puppet, CFengine, Chef, Bladelogic, Kickstart, Nolio, vApp Director, UrbanCode

          • Experience in Agile Scrum/Test Driven Development

          • Strong hands-on experience supporting .NET, JAVA, PHP applications and troubleshooting in both Windows and Linux OS environments.

          • Experience with both Windows and Linux platforms, including the architecture, design, administration, and management of a large (100’s of servers) SaaS web application.

          • Demonstrated experience and skill in leading and managing a team with an ability to communicate with all levels and stakeholders.

          • Leading, managing, and scaling systems and development operations team (24/7) with little to no down-time.

          • SQL Server and NoSQL (Mongo DB), Couchbase, GemFire, Hadoop, Greenplumb or other similar high-read / high-write databases to manage big data class sets of application data.

          • LoadBalancing solutions such as F5

          • Administering and maintaining source control systems, including branching and merging strategies - Microsoft TFS, Perforce, ClearCase, SVN

          • Effective time management skills
            Requirements:

          • Over 10 years’ experience in relevant positions of increasing responsibility; at least 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.

          • Demonstrated supervisory, management and leadership skills through managing a team, e.g. systems administrators, release engineers, build managers or support teams.

          • This position requires close multi-departmental collaboration, which will require an excellent communicator, problem-solver, troubleshooter and project manager.

          • Previous experience as a Software Developer, Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator, Solutions Architect or similar. Database Administration or Network Engineering a plus.

          • Advanced scripting experience is a must, e.g. Unix Shell, ASP, Perl, Python or similar.

          • Knowledge of ASP.NET MVC, C#, Java or other open source desirable.

          • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or similar. Certifications a plus.
