          Intel Platform Power Optimization Engineer in Hillsboro Oregon United States

          As a new engineer in the Platform Power Optimization team, you will have the opportunity to work with senior engineers and architects to integrate key power savings technologies into Linux-based mobile platforms as we strive for all-day battery life. You'll conduct experiments to study the trade-offs between power, performance and battery life. You'll get hands-on experience in PC power systems and you'll have the opportunity to apply engineering analysis to the data you gather in the lab. We are looking for individuals with a general understanding of the Linux framework and Chromium OS/Chrome OS as it pertains to power management; a basic knowledge of the overall SW stack on mobile platforms; a basic understanding of the hardware that makes up computer platforms; an understanding of power management infrastructure. A strong candidate should be able to set up basic lab experiments to study trade-offs between power, performance and battery life.

          Qualifications:

          Minimum required qualifications:

          Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical, computer, or software engineering
          2 years of basic computer architecture experience
          2 years of experience with power subsystems and/or power management
          Experience working with notebook or PC projects
